Lost in the arms of destiny.
I feel like i'm lost... Again.
not like in a game, i'm good at games.
like in life: I don't know where i am and i don't know where to go...
I wish i knew, i wish it where more simple...

Imperfect world
Due to the recent political issues at work,
i started to read a very interesting book, wich name really appeals to me now.
The book's name is: "The Career Programmer: Guerilla Tactics for an Imperfect World"
by Christopher Duncan

It's is very well writen and is a fun read.

A quote from chapter one:
You’re typing so fast that the keys of your keyboard would threaten to go on strike if only enough of them were visible to form a good union. Aside from the racket of the keys under your fingertips and the continual stream of enhancement requests from management, your office is a fortress of solitude where none dare disturb your rapid-fire coding sessions. Your days are a delight and a blur as you experiment to your heart’s content with state-of-the-art technology, rarely taking a break from your creations for even a fresh cup of coffee. Suddenly, you feel an uncomfortable sensation on your forehead and realize, as you peel your head from the keyboard that has been serving as your pillow, that you’ve been dreaming again. It’s two
o’clock in the morning, you haven’t slept three hours in as many days, the deadline for your release is mere hours away, and your software is about as stable as the maintenance programmer who had to deal with the previous release. A marketing rep drops by after his latest three-martini lunch with your clients and adds yet another do-or-die feature to the stack on your desk. At least he got some extra use out of his cocktail napkins. Now, recovered from your pleasant dream, you shake your head and gaze bleary-eyed over the sea of cubicles to survey your home away from home, deep in the heart of Corporate America. Welcome to reality. We hope you enjoy your stay.

Just a thought
Is it really neccesary to hit the rock bottom in order to see the sky?
I mean: is the only way to see good is by comparing it to bad/wrong ?

PyQLogger On Windows
Today i tried to run PyQLogger from windows.
If you don't know what PyQLogger is - PyQLogger is AtomAPI based Blogger client written by Reflog in Python using PyQT.
If you want to learn more :) go to PyQLogger WIKI page

Anyway, i wanted to run it from Windows.
And it was quite an easy task. Even too easy :)
Here is a very simple STEP-BY-STEP guide:
1. Go to TrollTech (qt) site
and apply for evalutional qt for windows. Choose Unsupported version.
Download and install qt. Make sure you uncheck "Compile Example" and "Compile Tutorials"
cos they got a lot of examples. and it will take time to compile :)
2. Go to Python site and download Python version 2.3.3
That's right 2.3.3. Not the newest one, cos your also need PyQT and for windows it's linked to Python 2.3.3
Install it.
3. Go to Get PyQT. Install it. You almost there.
4. Get PyQLogger itself
5. Unpack it somewhere.
Now before you run it. you'll need to reboot you computer, in order to reset all the environment variables.
Or you can simply logoff and login again.
Now you can go to the PyQLogger dir and double click the PyQLogger.Py file.

Few sad notes:
QT for some reasons doesn't available for free on windows platform.
Only evalution and comercial versions available. The evalution version of QT is for 31 days.
After that the PyQLogger will stop working... :(
Spell plugin wont work. Since it is using ASpell. And i beleive it's not available on windows.
Maybe there is a way to use ASpell with Cygwin?
I'll try that tomorow.

Or maybe i do not understand something... cos it's kinda not logically for me.
Cos i do not want to develop software with QT. I Want to USE software that was writen in QT.
Maybe there is a way to run such software as PyQLogger for free on windows.

Now, the final experiment. Trying to post it to blogger...
1,2,3... Is it working? Hello? :)
